Marketing for student societies

Now I am going to write about marketing for student societies and clubs. It is important that societies find their members and other way around. Club should create clear strategy where want to be seen and which channels they are willing to use.

In UK there is club and society collaboration website called StudyMan, which is really good platform for clubs.

Facebook is also a good platform, it has its problems but they are improving their functions all the time.
The Main problem with facebook is for club, which one to choose, group or page?
Both have their benefits. Page used to be much better but facebook changed its functions so, now both are semi equal.

Most clubs use email, which is efficient and easy way to deliver information. But how to get target audience (interested students) to subscribe to the mailing list.

Delivering leaflets is also a good but sometimes bit expensive and not necessarily ecological way of promotion.

Going to classes is possible. This way club can get a one-way discussion with target audience, for example if business society goes to business lecture.
