Recipe for 25 buns:
5 dl milk
50g fresh yeast/ or 14g dry yeast (2 sachets)
1 tea spoon salt
2 dl sugar
1 table spoon cardamom
1 egg
ca 14 dl wheat flower
100g butter
Topping:
Cinnamon
Butter
Sugar
Heat oven to 225C
Recipe with fresh yeast:
Heat the milk till body temperature and add the fresh yeast.
Add salt, sugar and cardamom. Stir and add egg. Add slowly the flower till the dough is solid, then add butter. Let the dough to rise.
Once risen, use rolling pin to make the dough into a flat surface. Then pour liquid butter on it. Pour sugar and cinnamon on the buttery surface.
Start rolling the flat dough. Cut the rolled dough into triangles. Turn the top of the triangle towards the ceiling and press the triangle with your thumbs towards the table. Brush some egg on the top of the bun.
